Welcome!

First off, thank you for stopping by! My fiance Ryan and I have been living in a travel trailer for almost a year now, and we've had so many questions about how and why we do what we do. So I decided that I might as well start a blog about it while we are all stuck at home. Productive for me, entertaining for you! Win-Win!

So why did we initially move into a travel trailer? Well, at first it was to save money (more on that in another blog post), but now it's truly just a fun and unique experience! But no, we do not plan on living "tiny" forever. This is simply a part of our stepping-stone plan to have a unique life while saving money to build our own home. We've been in our travel trailer for almost one whole year now, and we will likely be in here for another 2-3 years!

Our space is approximately 350 square feet (rounded up) and we currently share our space with two cats (Joey and Chandler) and a 90 lb. German Shepherd (Randy).

... but that's not all. PLOT TWIST.

We are also currently pregnant and due with a new addition to our family in September! (We are having a little boy!!!!)

I know, now you're asking, how are you planning to raise a newborn in a travel trailer? Um, yeah, we are working on figuring that out right now. But we are very excited for the challenge, we think it is completely doable with the help of "less is more" and optimism. We are in the process of "renovating"/making changes to our trailer to make living with a newborn more realistic.

Thankfully, when we purchased this trailer we already had babies on the brain and made sure that we were purchasing a trailer with adequate storage. We made sure we had a mental plan on what we would do in the trailer if we happened to get pregnant and have a baby before making it to the next chapter. I plan on doing a full post in the future about all of the baby upgrades that we end up doing to the trailer!

There are so many learning experiences that come with living tiny, and I hope to share all of my first-hand knowledge with you. Please feel free to reach out to me about anything you want to know about living tiny and I will do my best to get back to you. Your questions will also help me know more about what my readers would like to see in future posts. You can currently expect my posts to include information that I wish I knew before buying a trailer, as well as other funny stories that might lend helpful to the new tiny home owner (like the first time we clogged our black tank sewer – yikes!), and also general tips, tricks, and stories about full time tiny living.

I will soon share our story about what made us go tiny, pros and cons, our buying experience and about our first weeks/months in the trailer. Hopefully our story will inspire and help people that are thinking about going tiny take the plunge!

Talk soon! Cheer!
